'innocent reading':
In my personal opinion, innocent reading generally refers to those "teen audience" who mostly could only understand the surface meaning of a work but struggling with comprehending in depth. I.e., Although, Tintin has been widely recognized as a child medium. However, most of time children readers would only be interested in it's story itself, but hard to figure out the real and intangible purpose behind it.
